Drawing of a 46-year-old Male

Drawing of a 46-year-old Male

An objective and a holistic overview of the writing:

I look at the drawing objectively to determine whether the Drawer has followed the full instruction to draw or depict a tree, a house, and a family.

Every Assessor would have their own method of conducting an assessment.

Analysis

The use of symbolic representation

I look at the Drawer’s use of symbols. The Artist of this drawing uses triangles predominantly as well as the arcade or rounded shape form to depict the family.

The geometric shapes on the house and the unique and unusual depiction of the family all show that the Drawer is a lateral thinker.

Adult’s drawings are very interesting because they are often so symbolic and their use of symbols can be clearer and more defined than in children’s drawings.

Grounding

In this drawing, none of the three items are touching the line below despite the line being drawn as an attempt to establish a baseline for the drawing.

Any other aspects of interest

The lines above the drawing and colour choice are an indicator that the Drawer feels oppressed in some way.

The colour choice is good since it shows varied interests.

Story

The 46-year-old male that did this drawing was struggling with his sexual identity and hence his use of the triangle form on the tree. The triangle represents sexual interest.

His depiction of his family as multiple personalities of similar shape and form was a reference to his single lifestyle with multiple partners.

The guidance and direction related to his self-esteem and identity, better ground him in his perception of self.

Every writing is as unique as a fingerprint. There are no two that are identical, even identical twins.
